The core competencies include registration of patients, setting up appointments, operating the systems and performing ultrasound procedures. Having completed this program the student will have sufficient knowledge to work as a diagnostic Ultrasound Technician with Abdominal & Echo specialty at an Ultrasound/Sonography center or in a Hospital’s Sonography Dept. as an Ultrasound Technician. This is a one year program which also includes 800 hours of ultrasound Clinical Internship (classroom and clinical internship combined may take in excess of 18 months to complete).
